We featured the first film by the director of our next film way back in 2017 during Season One of 52docs, and a beautiful piece of work it was too.

In the intervening years she has been Oscar nominated for Edge of Democracy and continues to mine that vein with Apocalypse in the Tropics which promises a heady mix of power, politics and religion, focused on recent history in Brazil but with clear parallels to other countries where democracy is under threat.
