It’s Mother’s Day here in the US, what better time to consider the dystopian visions of Silicon Valley and their race against the fossil fuel industry to become the greatest existential threat to humanity.
This week’s film looks like an urgent one, and for the next three days it’s “pay what you can” to rent on Kinema.
There are a few AI-inspired docs asking some of the difficult questions so there’s a whole rabbit hole to dive into if this is an area that interests you, but Ghost might have been made by Adam Curtis if he had self-funded the film and “framed the use of AI in the tradition of feminist video art that used the aesthetic of the patriarchy to critique the patriarchy”
